21-year-old Aishwary Won Bronze In Men’s 10m Air Rifle

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar is a 21-year-old boy from Ratanpur, a village in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. His father Veer Bahadur owns 35 acres of land in his village. Aishwary developed an interest in becoming a shooting athlete when his father took him to shoot balloons in his village. Who knew Aishwary’s love for shooting would get a medal to India in the Asian Games?

Talking about the Men’s 10m Air Rifle shooting event, India’s Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar won the Bronze medal, the silver medal was won by Hajun Park of Korea, and the gold medal was won by Lihao Sheng of China. There was stiff competition between Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and fellow Indian athlete Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil for the Bronze medal.

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar said, “Whenever he visits home, he visits the Navgrah fair if possible and shoots balloons too with the kids of the family. That’s where his love for shooting began. He has won medals in World Cups and World Championships but to win a medal in a competition like the Asian Games is big for the family as well our whole district,” He won multiple medals in the junior World Championships. Notably, Aishwary also bagged two gold medals in ISSF World Cup in 2021 and 2022. Last year, he also qualified for the Tokyo Olympics where he finished in 21st position while competing in the 50m 3P event. However, it was also a proud achievement for his family although did not win any medal at Tokyo Olympics. After the Olympics, he won a Gold medal in 50m 3p in the ISSF World Cup held in Cairo last year.
