Boxer Parveen Hooda secured another medal for India at the 19th Asian Games after her victory against Uzbek Sitora Turdibekova in the Women’s 57kg event quarterfinals. The 23-year-old Indian boxer progressed to the quarterfinals by defeating China’s Xu Zichum with a score of 5:0 on Friday in the Hangzhou Asian Games, 2023. However, in the men’s golf event, India’s performance was not up to par. Anirban Lahiri is currently tied at 12th, Khalin Joshi at T27, SSP Chowrasia at 29th, and Shubhankar Sharma at 32nd.

Nevertheless, India claimed the lead position following Prithviraj Tondaiman’s impressive performance in the men’s trap team event, securing the top spot in the gold medal tally.
India’s Aditya Dhopaokar concluded his campaign in the men’s 81kg kurash after a defeat to Afghanistan’s S Hassan Baiqara Rasooli on Sunday.
