The police of Kolkata have sent a summon to the officials of the Cricket Association of Bengal and also to the online ticket portal because of companies that have been registered regarding the black marketing of the tickets. It has been filed for the upcoming match on ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 of India vs. South Africa on 5th November 2023, Sunday. The Kolkata police has issued a notice to the CAB and the online ticket booking portal asking you to come before them on 2nd November 2023, Thursday. However, as per the source, no official of the CAB and the online ticket booking portal appeared before them.
As per the reports, the official’s complaint was registered at the Maidan Police Station on 1st November 2023, Wednesday, the complaint was registered by a cricket fan who alleged the black marketing of tickets as he owned to the connivance of the online portal alongside the officials of the Cricket Association of Bengal and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the upcoming match between Indian and South Africa on this Sunday.
Sources have revealed that the complainants have alleged certain CAB and BCCI officials. The online booking of ticket sites is currently reserved with a great number of tickets which are for the general public. Because of them, some tickets are available in black marketing. The senior officials of the Central Association of Bengal, have clearly said that these allegations are rubbish and there is no truth in this. He also added that currently they are just hosting the match and there is no involvement in the ticket-selling process which is looked after by the online ticket-booking portal and the International Cricket Council.
