When Will Virat Kohli Join Team India?
As per the World Cup schedule released by the ICC, India will play its first match of the World Cup 2023 on October 8, 2023, against Australia in Chennai. Reportedly, Virat Kohli is expected to return to the team’s squad before October 8. People familiar with the matter said Kohli will fly back to Thiruvananthapuram from Mumbai after attending a personal emergency, where he will complete his pending photoshoot. After posing for a photoshoot, Kohli will fly to Chennai where he will join Team India ahead of India’s clash with mighty Australia.
A spokesperson for the Indian Cricket Team told Cricbuzz, “He will be joining us later in the evening and will be traveling with the team to Chennai tomorrow,” While Kohli was supposed to join the team again before the Netherlands World Cup warm-up game, but he could not. Instead, Kohli will only arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. After attending ICC’s photoshoot, Kohli will travel to Chennai with the team on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
